Every hire includes a sanitised helmet, a bike lock and chain, head and tail lights, a robust bike stand and a phone holder.

Range depends on which model you hire — our compact 16″/20″ e-bikes offer an estimated 50km per charge, while our Premium Trail/Road e-bikes offer 75km+. All models are serviced monthly and fitted with high-power lithium batteries. Actual range depends on rider and luggage weight, how much you pedal, hills, pedal-assist level and general bike maintenance like tyre pressure and brake clearance.

No — you don't need a driver's licence to ride one of our e-bikes.

Our standard e-bikes provide pedal-assist up to 25km/h, in line with Australian e-bike regulations. Higher-powered off-road/trail models are also available — ask us in-store for the exact specs of each model.

Yes — we know these accessories are essential, so they're included with every hire as standard, not charged as an extra.

A full charge takes around 5 hours. If you've only used a small amount of the battery, a top-up charge will naturally take less time.

No — they're not loud at all. Our e-bikes run silently.

Yes, the battery can be removed in seconds using your key to unlock it from the frame — handy for charging indoors or extra security.

Very little — a full charge costs roughly 10 cents in electricity at typical Queensland rates.

One valid piece of photo ID (driver's licence, passport, etc.) and a credit or debit card for the security deposit.

Yes. We place a refundable $75 hold (pre-authorisation) on your card or debit card when you make your reservation. If your licence has expired the deposit is higher, and Working Holiday Visa holders may need additional documents or a larger bond.

Reservations can be made online, by phone or in person, and are prepaid. We're happy to move your rental date in advance on request. Cancel more than 24 hours before your scheduled pickup and we'll refund your payment in full. If you don't show up for your rental with no prior notice, your payment is forfeited — get in touch as early as you can if your plans change.

Absolutely — you're welcome to take a test ride with us any time, in-store.

You agree to return the bike at the date and time in your rental agreement; a short grace period applies for lateness. Talk to us in advance if your plans change and we'll do our best to work with you.

You're responsible for the bike and its accessories for the length of your rental. Full details are set out in your rental agreement, provided when you book — get in touch and we'll talk you through it.

You should have your own accident and liability insurance in place. Brisbane Bike Rental is not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of a hired bicycle — ride safely and within your ability.
